Together with the fire fighting manufacturer Rosenbauer International we have developed two fire fighting vehicles based on a MAN TGS 33.480 for the Belgian railways, Infrabel. The vehicles are used for tunnel rescue in Brussel’s area. Both 3-axle road/rail vehicles made for the standard gauge 1,435 mm have a single axle in the front and rear a bogie. Special feature is the rail axis which is positioned in front of the driver’s cab. In addition, the vehicles are equipped with a rerailing and rear view surveillance camera.
