ZAGRO E-MAXI M for Metro Manila, Philippines

At the end of February 2025, after its long journey on the container ship, the 6.5-ton shunting vehicle arrived safely in Manila, Philippines. Our customer, Depot Dynamic Ltd., a specialist equipment subcontractor for the railway industry, was delighted to take delivery of the new ZAGRO E-MAXI M electric railcar mover.

Quote from Jack Chilcott, Managing Director of Depot Dynamic Ltd.: “In selecting ZAGRO again, it highlights the continued trust in the long-term performance of ZAGRO road-rail systems, which have been a reliable presence at the depot since the late 90s.”

After instruction by the ZAGRO project manager on site, the emission-free shunter is now confidently performing shunting work in the Metro Manila (MRT3) depot. Thanks to its radio remote control, one person can maneuver the electric vehicle safely. Its electric drive makes the ZAGRO E-MAXI M perfect for working in enclosed spaces.

The manoeuvrable shunting vehicle is mastering the task of moving the heavy tram through the depot, whether to the maintenance hall or the washing facility, or on the track in tight curves, with flying colours.

Back in 2022, the Metro Manila depot received several ZAGRO road-rail vehicles for maintenance and repair work, including a Unimog U 423 work vehicle, a Sprinter 516 CDI crew cab, and a road-rail trailer.

Our team is delighted about the successful completion of this order and would like to thank all partners for the good cooperation.
