GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN GmbH, a ZAGRO Group company, has delivered two more D60 C diesel-hydraulic shunting locomotives to thyssenkrupp Steel. Locomotives 7 and 8 thus expand the existing fleet at one of Europe's largest and most important industrial sites.
The locomotives are specially designed for heavy industrial use in factory traffic and are equipped with EBO approval for internal rail transport. They combine high tractive power, efficient fuel consumption and a robust design with modern drive technology – ideal for intensive shunting tasks in 24/7 operation. Their areas of application range from material logistics and production transport to internal transport processes on the factory tracks.
thyssenkrupp Steel is once again relying on proven technology from GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN. Six D60 C locomotives have already been successfully put into operation – with the two new vehicles, the locomotive fleet now comprises a total of eight shunting locomotives of this type. The confidence in the performance and reliability of the D60 C underlines the long-standing and successful partnership between thyssenkrupp Steel Europe and GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN.
The D60 C stands for high operational efficiency, ease of maintenance and flexible adaptation to customer-specific requirements. Thanks to modular assemblies, different engine powers, radio remote controls or safety equipment can be integrated. This makes it a particularly versatile solution for industrial shunting processes.
