ZAGRO E-MAXI XL 20t electric shunting locomotive replaces diesel vehicle at InfraLeuna

The time has come: InfraLeuna has taken delivery of a new ZAGRO E-MAXI XL 20t electric shunting locomotive. Following the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) in Grombach, on-site training took place in Leuna (Saxony-Anhalt) – with nine participants and professional support from Dirk Spähr.

The result? A vehicle that not only impresses technically, but also noticeably improves the quality of work.

Zero emissions in the tank wagon workshop

As an infrastructure operator, InfraLeuna is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rail vehicles. The new electric shunting vehicle will be used in future for stocking the tank wagon workshop. But here’s the special thing: the E-MAXI XL 20t replaces a diesel vehicle. And that makes a real difference:

  • No more exhaust fumes in the workshop – clean air to work in
  • Less noise – quiet operation for greater comfort
  • A healthier working environment – for all shift workers

This is exactly the generational change InfraLeuna was looking for.
