A new GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN D60 C is now bolstering Dyckerhoff GmbH internal transport operations at its Deuna plant in Thuringia. The locomotive, with the serial number 5832, was handed over to the Deuna plant at the end of April 2026 during the ZAGRO Group in-house exhibition in Mosbach.
The story behind the new locomotive began at GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN previous in-house exhibition. It was there that the initial discussions took place regarding a new shunting locomotive for use at the Deuna plant. These discussions led to an order – and just under two years later, the D60 C was officially handed over to the customer at the manufacturer’s site in Mosbach.
A particularly nice touch: the handover took place just in time before a long-standing contact was due to retire. This meant that a joint project, which had been ongoing for some time, could still be brought to a successful conclusion in person.
The GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN D60 C is a compact, three-axle shunting locomotive with a diesel-hydraulic drive. Designed for demanding industrial operating conditions, it will in future handle heavy industrial traffic at the Deuna site.
The locomotive was transported from Mosbach to Thuringia by rail under tow. On 6 and 7 July 2026, the locomotive set off on its journey, hauled by NeSa’s electric locomotive 140 797-2.
For GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN, this handover is a special moment: it combines modern locomotive technology with a long-standing customer relationship and demonstrates how initial discussions at an in-house exhibition can lead to concrete projects and long-term partnerships.
We would like to thank Dyckerhoff GmbH, Deuna plant, for their trust and excellent cooperation, and wish the new GMEINDER LOKOMOTIVEN D60 C safe journeys at all times and every success in its future tasks.
