Once again, ZWEIWEG had the opportunity to deliver a road/rail vehicle to Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm. This time, it is a very compact rail grinder vehicle, which will be used on the 1000 mm track network and can also clean the rail grooves of tracks with a gauge of 1435 mm in the industrial area. The possibilities for vehicle use are increased with the use of front-mounted attachments. These include a snow plough, which can be used both in the road and rail sectors. Alternatively, a street sweeper can be used, which will help maintain cleanliness in the station areas. The coordination of the base vehicle, attachments, and the rail undercarriage posed a significant challenge in this new concept. This challenge was successfully managed by ZWEIWEG as the general contractor, in close collaboration with Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
