ZAGRO supplies a road/rail Unimog U 427 for shunting operations and maintenance work to a service company in Norway. The Unimog implement carrier is equipped with a HIAB loading crane, working basket, loading platform and wagon brake system for 150 tons trailing load. The vehicle is supplied with radio remote control system, which controls the hydrostatic travel drive of the Unimog. The operator uses the radio remote control during works at the overhead lines in order to drive the vehicle from the working basket.
The Unimog is a flexible rail vehicle that is suitable for varied tasks on the railway infrastructure. As compared to railbound concepts, the Unimog road/rail vehicle allows to change quickly and cost-effectively between different operation sites.
