In April 2022, the logistics company LogServ in Linz took delivery of a D75 B'B' model locomotive. Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ) offers numerous services in the field of logistics.
The delivered locomotive is already the sixth identical locomotive the company is receiving. Another seventh locomotive is under construction. The locomotive is equipped with a 708 kW Caterpillar C 27 engine. The engines of the existing locomotives comply with the currently required Stage V emissions standard and can also be operated with alternative fuels under full warranty conditions.
In radio operation, the 90-tonne locomotive can reach a speed of 25 km/h. In manual operation, it can even reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
The locomotives are used with high availability in 24/7 shunting operations in the steelworks at Voest Alpine in Linz.
