Our customer CAF Rail Services Division was delighted to receive the new white-painted Unimog U 423 road-rail vehicle. The company specialises in equipping tram depots. On the tram lines with their tight radii, the road rail vehicles have to fulfil special requirements. The Unimog therefore has a ZAGRO bogie guidance system for optimum driving safety. Equipped with a platform and scissor lift, the road-rail Unimog is also the perfect work vehicle for maintenance work on the overhead lines. Furthermore, the vehicle has a coupling rod so that it can tow a tram in a case of emergency.
In order to organise an optimised handover to the customer, the vehicle was put into operation directly on site. Our project manager also provided professional training for the operating personnel.
Our team is proud of the successfully completed project in Parramatta City. We wish CAF Rail successful operations with their new vehicle.
