Since November 2015 new TERBERG/ZAGRO road/rail vehicle has been used in Aclens for shunting operation. The high flexibility and the great potential of the vehicle concept is impressing. In January 2016, a second vehicle was put into operation as a reserve and for interventions in the region of Suisse Romande. In June 2016, the third road/rail vehicle was installed at the coop distribution center Schafisheim. As the first railway company railCare AG has received authorization from the SBB infrastructure and the Federal Office of Transport (BAV) for commercial shunting with road/rail vehicles.
State-of-the-art electronics and engine technology with low noise and CO2 emissions and the high flexibility are combined in TERBERG/ZAGRO vehicle concept. There is also great potential for expansion in technology and for upcoming terminal application such as winter service.
In good conditions the TERBERG/ZAGRO pulls trains up to 2500 tons. The high-performance screw compressor has a capacity of 2500 liters per minute – and is comparable to mainline locomotives. The comfortable functions such as operator seats rotatable in both directions, easy refueling at gas station and easy handling of road/rail capabilities are main advantages of the truck.
