Many new products are shown during the InnoTrans in Berlin (18th to 21st September), the world's leading international trade fair for the rail sector. For the first time, a road/rail Unimog U 430 with Mulag mowing arm is presented at the Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks booth. On 20th September, the road/rail vehicle was handed over to the company Evers Umweltpflege. The new owner took the powerful vehicle visibly proud.
ZAGRO, as an internationally renowned implement manufacturer and bodybuilder, has equipped the Unimog with the rail guidance system and the safety control according to EN 50128. The ZAGRO road/rail vehicle Unimog U 430, whose arm includes a digital height limiting function, is used as a utility vehicle for clear cutting work along the tracks. The Unimog meets the EN 50128 safety-related software requirements for EBA (Federal Railway Authority) approval and thus obtains the railway approval on the German rail network. In addition to this, the implement carrier features standardised mechanical, hydraulic and electrical interfaces for flexible use with different implements and attachments. Thus, the Unimog can be used for tasks such as vegetation control or winter maintenance.
