ZAGRO delivers a flexibly usable road/rail Unimog U 430 Euro VI to the Belgian transport company De Lijn Oostende. The road/rail vehicle is equipped with a friction wheel rail guidance system for the track width of 1000 mm. The Unimog implement carrier was constructed as a working vehicle for varied tasks on the railway infrastructure.
A Dücker mower for clear cutting work along the tracks or a Dücker sweeper to remove sand can alternately be mounted to the front of the vehicle. Due to its limited stability, the mowing outrigger has a reduced working range of five meters in rail operation. In addition, the Unimog was equipped with a HIAB loading crane at the rear and a loading platform.
The multifunctional vehicle will be used for maintenance and repair work on the Coastal Tram in Belgium over a distance of 68 km.
