From 19 to 20 June 2019, the annual Africa Rail Exhibition took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. Johannesburg is considered the new financial and economic center in South Africa, with an impact on the entire continent. It is the most important fair and conference for railway logistics and transportation in Africa and gathered thousands of professional visitors and industrial exhibitors. ZAGRO presented the company to the public in cooperation with our South African agency Railway Infrastructure Projects Ltd. The exhibited battery tractor ZAGRO E-MAXI M aroused great interest among the visitors. Many new contacts and numerous productive discussions with regard to upcoming procurement projects for road rail vehicles and battery tractors in South Africa as well as Kongo, Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia and Nigeria have made the exhibition a full success for ZAGRO. According to WHO, the population on the African continent will double by 2050, therefore infrastructure projects are essential. Numerous railway lines are in planning or already under construction.
