The demand for strong shunting vehicles for higher tonnages that work quietly and agilely despite their big size motivated the ZAGRO team to extend the E-MAXI series. Many hours of work have led to success. Now we want to introduce you to the brand new model of our E-series - the ZAGRO E-MAXI XXL.
The prototype was already presented to the public at the InnoTrans exhibition Berlin in 2018. After that, the new model was developed during many working hours and workflows and built according to the specific customer requirements. Three tractors were also sold to India for the first time.
The powerful ZAGRO E-MAXI XXL is designed to move high tractive loads up to 2000 tonnes even in confined spaces, thanks to its all-wheel steering system. With its total weight of 24 tons, the vehicle constitutes our largest electric tractor. The power supply is ensured by 2 x 980 Ah lead batteries, which are charged by the on-board charger after eight hours of operation. Alternatively, the tractor is available with a li-ion battery, adapted to the customers’ needs. Easy access to the most important components allows convenient maintenance and service activities.
The radio remote control ensures the quick and relaxed handling in one-man operation. As standard, two travel speeds can be set: from 0 to 6 km/h and from 0 to 15 km/h. The vehicle is designed for different track gauges from 1000 to 1676 mm. Different coupling systems, wagon brake systems, air-conditioned driver cabin - numerous equipment variants can be implemented. A hybrid version is also available for longer operating times.
