ZWEIWEG has delivered a second road/rail vehicle to the BOGESTRA, Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Straßenbahn (Tramway) AG, based on a MAN TGM 18.290 for the track gauges 1.000 mm and 1.435 mm. The road/rail vehicle is identical to the vehicle delivered in 2013. The vehicle is equipped with a double scissor lifting platform, insulated platform for the operation in rain and a contact wire manipulator. The lifting platform and the rail traction drive are both fitted with a diesel-hydraulic and an electro-hydraulic drive and can be operated from the cabin or the platform. Furthermore, it has an ultrasonic monitoring field device, which stops the vehicle on rail actively in front of obstacles.
