ZAGRO Bahn- und Baumaschinen GmbH has won the tender of ZSSK a.s. in Bratislava, beating its competitor Zephir. The tender called for a shunting vehicle capable of reliably pushing passenger cars into a washing hall and pulling them out again. The requirements were very demanding, as the vehicle had to operate around the clock and be exposed to moisture and liquid detergents. It also had to be able to negotiate inclines and curves with ease.
To meet these requirements, the customer was offered two ZAGRO E-MAXI XL electric shuttles with radio remote control. Each vehicle has a total weight of 15.5 tons and a towing capacity of 700 tons. The continuously variable electric drive provides a power of 30 KW.
