The ZAGRO team is pleased to announce that we have received an order for 11 ZAGRO E-MAXI XXL electric tractors. The battery-powered shunting vehicles are designed as road-rail vehicles, so that a quick change between road and rail is possible. The 27.5-tonne electric tractors will effortlessly and safely handle shunting work of loads up to 2000 tonnes. The large vehicles are designed for the New Zealand rail network with a track gauge of 1067 mm.
In New Zealand, the environmentally friendly ZAGRO technology is particularly well received. Already in 2022, 16 emission-free shunters made this long journey. They are extremely successful in Kiwi Rail workshops throughout the country.
