Five TERBERG/ZAGRO trucks are manoeuvring in Romania

Grup Feroviar Român SA (GFR), a Romanian railway company based in Bucharest, has added five new road-rail vehicles to their rolling stock. These are 29.5-tonne TERBERG/ZAGRO RR283 6x4 shunting vehicles for towing capacities up to 2800 tonnes. Two of these vehicles are designed for the 1435 mm standard track gauge. The other three TERBERG/ZAGRO shunters can switch between standard and wide gauge (1520 mm). This flexibility is possible thanks to the hydraulically adjustable rail guidance device made by ZAGRO.

The vehicles are perfectly equipped for daily and safe shunting operations. Each shunting vehicle is equipped with a high capacity wagon brake system of 2800 t / 100 axles, a comfortable driver's cab, four buffers and two SA3 couplers with foldable UIC screw couplers, radio remote control on the rail, lighting of the rail guide and pneumatic footholders. Low operating and maintenance costs and reliable quality components make the purchase even more attractive.

Grup Feroviar Român SA (GFR) is the largest private railway company in Romania. With its 16000 freight wagons and 380 locomotives, GFR has established itself in the rail freight segment and secures a share of more than 20% of the Romanian market. The company is also active internationally.
