ZAGRO continues successful collaboration with ÖBB

ÖBB shunting work

Austria's largest mobility service provider, ÖBB, continues to rely on the shunting technology with electric drive from ZAGRO Bahn- und Baumaschinen GmbH. Recently, shunting vehicles from three existing framework agreements with ÖBB-Technische Services GmbH, the Austrian company in the ÖBB railway group, were completed and delivered.

The company has chosen ZAGRO electric shunters of various models: ZAGRO E-MAXI L, ZAGRO E-MAXI XL, and ZAGRO E-MAXI XXL. These shunting vehicles will be used in the maintenance, assembly, and further development of rail vehicles. Road/rail vehicles with electric drive are ideal, especially for shunting operations in depots. Quiet, emission-free, and powerful, these agile shunting machines impress across the board.

The ZAGRO E-MAXI L is equipped with a wagon brake system for trailer loads of up to 500 tons. The 15-ton ZAGRO E-MAXI XL, in addition to the necessary equipment for shunting operations, features a weather-protected standing area for the vehicle operator. Equipped with a wagon brake system, the ZAGRO E-MAXI XL effortlessly pulls loads up to 700 tons. For moving larger loads, the powerful ZAGRO E-MAXI XXL is designed. Electric shunters of this design can move wagons weighing up to 2000 tonnes with ease.

We highly value our long-standing collaboration with ÖBB and thank them for the trust they have placed in us.
